Red Barn Winery is a historic civil-war era barn built in the 1850's . The building served as an agricultural barn for the first 100 years before is was converted to a summer stock playhouse theater in the 1950's . The playhouse was first known as the William Penn Theater before becoming the Apple Hill Playhouse which continued to operate until November of 2019. The playhouse and almost 3 acres of land was purchased in 2021 for rehabilitation and use as a winery, event venue, and continued theater. Phase 1 was the wine production, tasting room, and outdoor space that includes a patio with firepits, covered porch, pavilion, and grass area with firepits. Phase 2 is a larger wine production space in 2024 and the re-opening of the theater in 2025.
