Artspace Mackay is a regional art gallery owned and operated by Mackay Regional Council, providing residents and visitors to Mackay with an inspiring and entertaining program of art exhibitions, activities and special events.The purpose-built, contemporary art gallery designed by award-winning architects Cox Rayner, is conveniently located within Mackay Regional Council’s Cultural Precinct, housing three impressive exhibition spaces, a workshop room, reading pod, gallery shop and cafe. Exhibitions by significant international, Australian and local artists are complemented by innovative public programs for all ages. Programs include guided tours, artist talks, art markets, practical art programs & workshops for adults and children as well as professional development opportunities for local artists, teachers and students.
