Scott Russell Gordon Owner and Co Partner - PFE Events Online(Born May 5, 1967 in Tacoma, Washington) is an American businessman, executive, manager, consultant, speaker, A&R, producer, entrepreneur and made man within the Music and Entertainment Industry. He has been awarded several RIAA Certified awards and has represented independent and major artists, producers, record labels and distributors both West Coast and East Coast since 1982.He has worked within Wine and Spirit Industry for the last 11 years and was the Sr. VP of Marketing at HBM Enterprises Inc in Santa Clara, Ca . that owned the Brands Voscato and Stunna Liqour. He is currently the Co-Owner of Platinum Figgaz Entertainment/Gumbo Mix Dj's/ The707Collection Merch & Clothing Company., llc out of the Bay Area. Co-Ceo at FTMG in Atlanta along with Producer/Artist Young Treja and continues to consult platinum artist Spice One. He continues as a Entertainment consultant for over the last 30 Years and continues to Entertain, Host, Consult and throw some of the Best Events within the Beautiful State of Washington and throughout the United States.1982-1989Scott Gordon was always about business creating his own company Street Power Promotions and Management in his hometown of Vacaville, CA at age 16. He was promoting and giving parties locally and Dj Battles at the Vacaville Community Center from Hayward CA where groups like Egyptian Lover and Elvin Bridges performed to the famous teen club Second Level Night Club in Sacramento CA. Music and business seemed to be the sprit and fire that channeled and drove him to succeed in his goals.During the summer of 1982 he was introduced to some young breakers known as Galactic Breaking Crew or (GBC) and at that time he was managing Classic Communications. Since he was already known for promoting parties it was easy to manage a new and fresh entertainment group. New and energizing Electro-hop was the music of the early 80’s. Electro-hop music, break dancing and pop locking were hot in Northern California as well as throughout the United States.In the summer of 84 the City of Vacaville, CA allowed the first Teen night club named Eruptions to be built within the County of Solano. He managed and promoted the club from 84 til there closer.Around 1984 he understood that music and entertainment was his calling. After attending a concert featuring Roger Troutman and Zapp, Klymaxx and Ready for the World. Then soon meeting Prince Markie Dee and the Human Beat Box of the Fat Boys in Sacramento, CA in 1985 at a hotel after a concert with the Boogie Boys and LA Dream Team. He knew that promoting and Marketing Dj’s, record labels and artists like N.W.A and the Posse, Egyptian Lover, Arabian Prince, Bobby Jimmy, Dr. Dre & World Class Wrecking Crew, Unknown Dj, Rodney O and Joe Cooley, Kid Frost, Greg Mack and Macola Records. LA Dream Team, Dj Nasty Nes and Sir Mix a Lot of Nasty Mix Records, DJ Ricky Rorck, Dj KevinParas and Dj Mac G would allow him to be called a West Coast Pioneer.In 1988-1989 he was part of the First Annual All City Hip Hop Jam at the Newark Pavilion which hosted Bay Area Artist Sway and King Tech “Flynamic” The Automator, Dj Twan Kmel Power Mixer Dj Alex Meja and Theo Mizuhura.1990-1999The 90’s era of music and entertainment was prolific during this time. Hip Hop, Rap, House, Techno and Pop music had changed from the Electro-hop and pop of the 80’s to a hard more personal and out spoken revolutionary style of music letting people know about life’s struggles and challenges.In 1990 he worked at KMEL radio as an intern in San Francisco with DJ Alexander Mejia and Franzin. They felt a need to have the station more involved in the community. They created the Party Patrol. Traveling throughout the Bay Area broadcasting live at house parties, clubs, car shows and cruses the party patrol was helpful in letting people know that the station supported the Streets.In February of 1991 he started working for City Hall Record Distributors as head of club, radio and street promotions. This indi distributor allowed a variety of independent artists and record labels to be available throughout California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona and Hawaii to compete against the majors at Radio, Club Spins and at Mom, Pop and Major Retailers.During 1991-1993 he was very instrumental in several artists and record labels careers and advancements like E-40, The Click, Mac Dre, Mac Mall, Harm, Ray Luv, Ben B Hard, Bobby Caldwell, Moby, Luke, NWA, Geto Boys, Scarface, Ice Cube, X Rated, Brotha Lench Hung, Spice 1, Too Short, Strictly Rhythm Records, Black Moon, 5150, Hot Productions, Priority Records, Rap a lot Records, Cutting Records, RBL, Dre Dog also known as Andre Nickatina, WC and Madd Circle, Mc Breed & DFC, Gangsta Pat, Ichiban Records, Big Daddy Kane, 3rd Base, Black Sheep, Damian Dame, Ex Girlfriend, Seduction, Def Jam, Black Market Records and many more.During the summer of 92 he attended the international music convention “The New Music Seminar” in NYC. During his first trip to New York he would tell anyone today the experience, knowledge and new found relationships that he gained while at the Seminar is what made him who he is today a Self Made Icon.In 1993 he received a call from Dan Charnas an executive at American Recordings regarding running a label Called SEX RECORDS. This was a front put together by Tommy Silverman and Rick Rubin to allow then Political Rapper Paris to release his album titled “Sleeping with the Enemy” and a single titled “Bush Killer”. After speaking to Silverman and Rubin regarding the project they explained that every artist should have the right to release there album regardless of content. A deal was structured with distributor called INDI Corp and Rainbo Records Plant with a 1.25 Million dollar line of credit and the complete overseas distribution list from Tommy Boy Records.After Warner Bros found out what the two executives had done Warner confiscated most of the Sex Records project and destroyed it. That’s when Sex Records became “Scarface Records” as Scott Gordon headed the company as General Manager/Director of Promotions selling over 400,000 albums independently of the Bush Killer Album “Sleeping With The Enemy”. Eventually leaving independent distribution and was actively involved in the negotiations of the P&D deal with then Owners Mark Cerami and Brain Turner of Priority Records to release Paris next album titled “Guerrilla Funk” and ”The Conscious Daughters”, "C-Funk" and other various artists.He departed Scarface Records in 1995 after Paris sold the interest to The Conscious Daughters to Priority Records and then became their manager. He and Co Manager Eric Butler were helpful in the production, marketing and promotions of The Conscious Daughters album titled “Gamers”.In 1995 he created Management One discovering and managing famed producer Rick Rock who produced songs like “I Can’t Deny It” for Fabulous, “Make It Clap” for Busta Rymes featuring Sean Paul and “If I Can Go” for Angie Martinez and a quarter of Jay Z’s The Dynasty Album with slaps like “Change The Game”,” Parking Lot Pimpin”. At the same time he also managed producer Mike Mosley. He negotiated both Mike Mosley’s and Rick Rock’s publishing deals with Big Jon at that time he was Director of Creative at EMI Music Publishing.In 1998 he became co-owner and co-publisher of 4080 Hip Hop Magazine and RUSU Records releasing several issues and CD Compilations through Virgin Records and City Hall Records.In 1999 he became Spice One manager and in 2000 he helped executive produce and release Spice One's sixth and last album on Jive Records titled “Immortalized”. This album also contained one of the last songs recorded by Roger Troutman titled “Suckas Do What they Can” Produced by Rick Rock. He was also one of the last people to speak to Roger Troutman before his untimely death as he was Consulting Roger about moving forward in a new direction for his business and music.During 1999 til late 2000 Scott Gordon was Consulting Phife Dawg during the recording and release of his studio Album titled “Ventilation” which included a track from Rick Rock titled “The Club Hoppa”.2000He A&R the C-Bo album titled ”Enemy of the State” and was instrumental in acquiring the joint venture deal with West Coast Mafia Records/Warlock/Red Distribution. Also in the same year he help release Mobb Figgaz first album and was also involved in helping Half A Mill a member of the rap group “The Firm” release his debut album titled ”Milion”.In 2005 after leaving producer Rick Rock and retiring from the Music Business he became the custodial parent of his 3 year old daughter and moved to Seattle to raise her.In 2008 the Washington Superior Court granted him full custody of his daughter after King CountySheriffs Child Find Unit recovered his daughter after her 5 month abduction by the noncustodial family. A lot of friends and family have commended him on taken on an important role as a single parent.In 2008 he was honored at the Annual West Coast Hip Hop Award as a West Coast Icon in the Music Business.In 2009 he was a speaker at the 8th Annual Hip Hop Conference in Seattle Washington.Discussing Politics and how to Move forward in the Entertainment Business, Opportunity and Understanding Hip Hop in today’s market.In 2017 on Sway’s Universe Sirrus XM Radio Show with producer Rick Rock.
