ABOUT THE INTERNATIONAL OPERA INSTITUTEThe International Opera Institute (IOI) was founded in 2000 in San Jose California and in 2010 the name was changed to The International Opera Institute. Rose Kingsley, founder and artistic director, was with the Metropolitan Opera for 16 years as a Ballerina and Dramatic Soprano.The IOI is committed to increasing awareness, appreciation and understanding of Opera and Musical Theater as a classical art form in all segments of Society.The IOI identifies performing artists who demonstrate extraordinary potential and provides them with avenues to support them in order to facilitate their continuing training. This is done by creating programs that performers actively participate in.The IOI arranges master classes and public recitals featuring well known opera singers by artists in residence training for artists of all levels.
