For over 60 years the Rotary Club of East York has been putting “Service Above Self” by raising funds for both local and international charities. We have raised more than $2.5-million for our community. We also support Rotary International’s End Polio Now program, which has almost eradicated the disease worldwide. We support other projects to restore vision and provide clean water in developing countries. At our weekly meetings, guest speakers keep our club informed and aware of how our funds are being put to use in both local and international projects as well as where funds might be needed in the future. We are a group of over 30 vibrant and energetic professionals and business people who meet every Thursday morning at 7:30 am at Watts Restaurant in the Eglinton Square Mall. The meetings end at 8:30am sharp. Guests typically arrive as early as 7am to socialize and catch up with Rotarians & guests. In addition to our weekly meetings, we have anumber of major fundraisers and events that bring the club together throughout the year.Rotary International is an international service organization whose stated purpose is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service and to advance goodwill and peace around the world.
