Hi, I am Amanda, the great-granddaughter of Lem Reed, the African-American banjo player who entertained tourists of My Old Kentucky Home in the 1940s and 50s. With the same spirit of welcoming in my heart, I started Lem's Cafe.Lem's Cafe believes that coffee, community, and creation are a triple force for good. Coffee brings people together, starts the day, and vessels peace. Community is essential for the development of humans. Both local and visiting communities will find a safe and welcoming community when interacting with our cafe.
