The Haus of Books is a multidisciplinary house focused mainly on the performance art forms of drag, burlesque, "draglesque," and flow artistry. Events have a focus on diversity, showcasing up-and-coming talent, and a commitment to uplifting marginalized voices. Performance art is inherently political in many of the forms showcased through the Haus of Books. This house commits itself not only to awareness of the social issues affecting our communities and our world, but speaking about them, amplifying voices most deeply affected, and showcasing talent from multiply disenfranchised identities. If you would like to perform with the Haus of Books, please attend our events, engage with Mother of the Haus,Balencia Books, and support your community. Mother will notice and is happy to have any and all performers on cast. As the house gains traction, more productions will take place, so stay tuned!
