We specialize in providing support and services for families with children who have developmental disabilities, such as autism, Down syndrome, and cerebral palsy. Our mission is to create equitable access to resources and opportunities that enable families to thrive.Key Services and Programs:• Developmental Screenings and Early Intervention: Ensuring children receive timely assessments and referrals for essential services.• Educational Advocacy: Supporting families in navigating Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and ensuring access to appropriate educational resources.• Navigation Services: Assisting families with accessing critical resources, including CalFresh, WIC, IHSS, and other generic services.• Literacy and School Readiness Programs: Offering story time, parent-child playgroups, and workshops to enhance literacy and kindergarten readiness.• Community Engagement: Hosting resource fairs, workshops, and events to strengthen community connections and raise awareness about available services.Impact:Families United has served hundreds of families across Alameda and San Joaquin counties.
