The Stitchery, founded by Cassandra Belanger (she/her), runs small, sustainability-minded sewing and quilting classes in Glasgow and Dunblane, Scotland. With 13 years of expertise in sustainable design, textiles, and garment construction, Cassandra holds a Master's in Fashion + Textiles specializing in zero waste design. Her work at The Stitchery embodies her commitment to a more sustainable future through education and creative practice.Cassandra’s role as Founder of The Stitchery is complemented by her positions as Co-Founder of the Zero Waste Design Collective and a Founding Member of Sustainable Fashion Scotland. Her experience as a Resident Sewing Instructor at the Central Scottish School of Craft and a former Fashion and Textile Lecturer at Glasgow West College enriches The Stitchery’s offerings, ensuring each event is both impactful and educational.At The Stitchery, we are dedicated to empowering sewists, fostering skill development, and nurturing a vibrant creative community. We are an LGBTQI+ friendly and inclusive space, welcoming individuals of all genders, sizes, and backgrounds to participate in our courses.
