Quite some time ago, the Free Reformed Study Centre (FRSC) was formed by several ministers to address the need for quality resources, study guides and speakers to support local churches with training for office bears and for interested congregation members.In 2019, after being dormant for some years, a new and motivated committee has revisited and refreshed the FRSC and re-branded it to clearly articulate our mission:Seek Wisdom. The new name highlights the biblical imperative as found in Proverbs 4:5 to ‘get wisdom, get understanding.’ And wisdom, is more than just knowledge – it requires considered experience to apply biblical truths in an edifying manner. Ultimately, wisdom is personified in Christ, and we are to be imitators of his life and work (cf 1 Cor. 11.1, Eph. 5:1, 1 Thess. 1;16).It is the intention of the new committee, to provideSeek Wisdomconferences for the local church to address various topics that are relevant to our church members. Our committee will provide a specific format and approach for each conference, along with appropriate materials to create meaningful conferences that can be adapted and localized for each congregation.In time, it is our desire to compile online resources that will ensure the conferences are not one-off events, but rather stimulate further study and training for all members. Further, it is envisaged that local ministers (and office bearers) will also contribute to theSeek Wisdom(future) website with the resources that they have created, so that others can benefit from their labours and resources.
