Friends Wilderness Center is a place of peace and tranquility within a unique 1600-acre wilderness preserve and spiritual sanctuary on the western side of the Blue Ridge, where the sounds you hear are the music of nature – a place to Relax, Renew, and Recharge. We nurture renewal of the soul within a wilderness setting, enabling visitors to grow spiritually by harmonizing with nature. We honor the privilege of protecting and preserving the land entrusted to us as stewards, and we extend the opportunity to share that stewardship with others.
