Intervention. Prevention.The Wellness Institute is an organization focused on mental health, wellbeing and youth suicide prevention.Our mission is to provide coping mechanisms when life grows overwhelmingly dark. We guide the vulnerable in discovering meaning, hope, and self-esteem. We train individuals and organizations that interact with youth in emotional support and crisis intervention. We develop resilience-building educational materials to preemptively engage teens in evidence-based, life-saving discussions.Our ServicesParents, educators, and youth leaders:We provide evidence-based training from the world’s leading experts on warning signs recognition, risk assessment, and effective interventions.Teen discussion groups:We develop and distribute resilience-building curricula to facilitate meaningful discussion groups based on Jewish wisdoms.Community:We develop partnerships and host awareness events for the purpose of uniting organizations from all sectors in addressing youth mental health.Educational resources:We publish original resources by leading experts for parents, educators, and youth leaders.Crisis In NumbersSeriously considering suicide:One in four youths (aged 18-24), in the past 30 days.Debilitating anxiety or depression:62.9% of youth (aged 18-24), currently experiencing.Untreated:80-90% of those who need, largely due to stigma.Teen suicide:rose 56% in the past decade.Delayed intervention:11-year delay on average between symptoms development and initial mental health treatment.JLIFor over two decades, JLI has developed and distributed quality resilience-building curricula, which offer continuing education credits for medical and mental health professionals. This wealth of material is currently taught in professional courses in over one thousand locations worldwide. The Wellness Institute builds on JLI’s extensive experience and reach.
