The NAACP Metuchen-Edison Area Branch (MEAB) is a local extension of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP), the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Founded in 1942, the MEAB branch is dedicated to advocating for social justice, equality, and the elimination of racial discrimination in the Metuchen and Edison communities.Our mission is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination.
