Weber/Morgan R.A.D.R.A.D. is the largest network of its kind with over 11,000 Instructors receiving training in our systems to date. These Instructors teach at various colleges, universities, and municipal law enforcement agencies as well as various other community organizations internationally. R.A.D. has trained more than 900,000 women since the program began in 1989.Once you graduate from this Basic Women's R.A.D. Course you are entitled to a lifetime of free returns to any Basic Women's R.A.D. course being offered, simply bring your manual (which you will receive during the class) signed by a certified instructor.The Weber/Morgan R.A.D. program is offered throughout the year, currently provided at the Weber County Sheriff's Office, however a few months it may be offered at various locations throughout the Weber / Morgan County area's and will be displayed in the Event Date portion for the Registrations. Basic Classes usually run 9-12 hours over the course of 2-4 days, when Keychain Defense is offered this adds an additional 4 hours totaling 16 hours taught over 5 days. (all dates must be attended in order to graduate)Classes are for women ages 12 and up; anyone under18 will need a parental consent form filled out and signed and anyone under the age of 16 must be accompanied with an adult/guardian. These are simple easy to learn self-defense moves to be utilized as a quick strike and escape from abduction, this is not a karate or kick boxing class.** Special arrangements may be made if you are interested in the course to be taught to an organization or group, just contact the Event Coordinator with your details.
