For over 25 years, the Ottawa Art Gallery (OAG) is where generations of Ottawans, and visitors to our city, have come to gain a unique perspective on our place in the world.OAG is Ottawa’s municipal art gallery committed to the acquisition, presentation, interpretation and dissemination of art for the benefit of the citizens of Ottawa and abroad.The Ottawa Art Gallery has a growing permanent collection of historical and contemporary works associated with the region. It also houses the Firestone Collection of Canadian Art, which consists of more than 1,600 works of art assembled by Ottawa collectors O.J. and Isobel Firestone, who acquired the works from the early 1950s to the 1970s.
