Meet Jen Albright: Artist, Designer, and Lover of All Things PNWOriginally from Chicago, Jen Albright has called Seattle home since 2011. Drawn by the mountains, ocean, and the endless outdoors, she’s embraced the Pacific Northwest lifestyle—and it shines through in her work. Jen’s creative journey started at the Art Institute of Chicago in high school, setting her on the path to earn a BFA in Industrial Design (plus a minor in Visual Arts) at the University of Illinois. After stints at Mattel and moves across cities, she finally found her heart and home in Seattle.In 2018, Jen launched Rusted Element Design as a creative outlet, which quickly evolved from a hobby to a full-time endeavor. When the pandemic hit, it gave her the unexpected gift of time to grow her business. After a layoff in early 2021, she took a leap and committed fully to her art—and hasn’t looked back since. Her resin art, inspired by the natural beauty of the PNW, reflects her love of water, with her signature ocean resin scenes capturing the essence of the Pacific.Jen loves sharing her passion through hands-on resin art classes in the Greater Seattle area.
