The Community Waffle House CIC is a 100% not-for-profit organisation that was set-up with the aim of helping to form friendships in the local community in a bid to reduce the impact of loneliness and unwantedness.Using their Waffle House as a community base on the high-street, they do that by focusing on everyday conversations, as they know that every friendship starts with an (often slightly awkward) interaction.As a result, everything they do from schools workshops to gardening, Lego club to tech support is geared around developing the art of, and creating opportunities for, conversation.
