KAIROS envisions a world where dance serves as a catalyst for connectedness, healing, and justice.In pursuit of creating engaging, sensory work, Artistic Director DeAnna Pellecchia brings together artists from all disciplines - dancers, musicians, composers, visual artists, digital media designers, photographers, film artists, lighting designers and fashion designers - to collaborate on expressing ideas in innovative ways. Produced not only in theaters, but often in galleries, museums, site-specific settings and non-conventional venues, KAIROS performances defy the parameters and preconceived notions of ‘contemporary dance’; breaking the barriers of traditional space concepts, extending well-beyond the ‘fourth wall’, providing an immersive, intimate experience for audiences.For the past 13 years, KAIROS has been expanding access to the arts in Boston communities and beyond by consistently creating 2-3 innovative dance-theater performances per season; and offering annual cultural events, artist talks, open rehearsals, and interactive workshops that invite all to experience and understand the power of dance
