We are delighted to introduce you to the Organic Garden, a family run gastronomic business in Ely, Cambridgeshire.You might wonder, why organic?Even though it might seem like a popular or ‘fancy’ thing to do, putting the term “organic” into our business name has nothing to do with new trends.Few years ago, as new parents, we realized that our baby was reacting with an itchy rash to anything processed or treated with pesticides. Long story short, we decided to go fully organic, and it completely changed our lives.This was the inspiration for us to embrace organic food in gastronomy. Because, how can we give our customers anything less than what we consume and believe in?Everything we do is heavily influenced by natural living. We are using produce that is local, seasonal, and as unprocessed as possible. For us, the organic label is not the most important thing in the food industry; it’s the practices involved in producing the raw ingredient. We have met many suppliers over the years that followed the organic criteria but couldn’t (or wouldn’t want to) afford the organic certification. What we want is to use the best produce as well as support local farmers and businesses.
