Hi there!My name is Laoíse and I am a qualified mat pilates instructor running under the name 'Mind to Mat'.In classes, my goal is to guide you through connecting your mind to your body using slow and controlled movements with the integration of the breath. My goal is for you to not only become stronger in body but also in mind, showing that Pilates can be movement based but also so much more.I fell in love with pilates upon returning to Ireland after a period of travelling abroad. I always struggled with the term 'mindfulness'. I always thought it had to look a certain way or feel a certain feeling. After signing up for pilates course after pilates course, I began to realise how incredibly mindful this movement was for me. It tuned me into my body, my mind and allowed me to understand my own mechanisms! I would love for people to come along to classes and feel connected to themselves, energised and strong.I teach in Yogahub Swords on Tuesday evenings and Violet Sky Swords on Thursday evenings.Looking forward to seeing you outdoors this summer!
