Hi, I’m Kristi Arzola—a watercolor artist, instructor, and community builder based in Erie, Colorado. I believe in the power of art to uplift, connect, and transform, and I’m passionate about helping others tap into their own creativity. From the moment I picked up a paintbrush at age nine, I was hooked. That childhood spark eventually led me to earn a Bachelor of Fine Art degree—with dual majors in Fine Art and Multimedia—from Northwest College of Art & Design. But it wasn’t until 2014, after a successful career as a training developer and instructor in the aerospace industry, that I fully embraced my calling and founded Fine Art by Kristi Arzola. It was a leap of faith driven by the desire to lead by example for my son—and I’ve never looked back.Over the past decade, my work has evolved from hyper-detailed automotive paintings to serene watercolor landscapes, vibrant florals, and heartfelt pet portraits. I’m especially drawn to nature-inspired themes and storytelling through art. My pieces have been exhibited nationwide and have received awards such as “People’s Choice” and “Best in Show”—but what I value most is the connection my art helps create between people, memories, and emotion.I also teach watercolor and drawing lessons to artists of all ages and skill levels—right from my home studio here in Erie. Whether it’s a one-on-one session, a group workshop, or a paint-and-sip event, my goal is always the same: to build confidence, foster creativity, and help others find joy in the process.Outside of my studio, I’m the founder and lead organizer of the Erie Art Fest, a vibrant outdoor event that brings together over 80 artists, musicians, food vendors, and families each year. I also helped launch and sustain the Juried Youth Art Show at the Erie Community Library, now an annual celebration that gives young artists a chance to shine.Whether you’re here to browse my artwork, take a class, or simply get inspired, I’m so glad you stopped by. Let’s keep creating—one brushstroke at a time.
