After retiring from a successful decade-long career as a Conde-Nast-recognized destination and resort spa consultant, spa director, and corporate massage and body treatment trainer, Lisa settled in Bloomington, Indiana in 2009 to found That’s the Rub Massage Therapy Center.As a National Board Certified and Indiana-licensed massage therapist with over 20 years of experience, Lisa is a true master of her craft. She has developed her own unique approach to massage therapy, called The Keplinger Process, which incorporates a range of modalities including therapeutic, myofascial, Swedish, reflexology, deep tissue, sports, craniosacral, cupping, and lymphatic drainage. Lisa has been a certified personal trainer and has furthered her education in Erik Dalton’s Myoskeletal Alignment Techniques, Advanced Myofascial Techniques, Vedic Thai Massage, Yomassage, Stick Mobility, and Breathwork. She is passionate about sharing her knowledge with others and regularly teaches continuing education courses for massage therapists at the Keplinger Institute, located upstairs from That’s the Rub.In 2017, Lisa founded the massage school in partnership with Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington. Lisa continues to mentor students in the externship program and Massage Bootcamps in addition to teaching CEs and running the Apprenticeship program of KI. She is committed to supporting the next generation of massage therapists and helping them develop the skills they need to succeed in this rewarding profession.
