Abby Fay Smithis an artist and high school art educator based on Cape Cod. When Abby is not teaching, creating art in her studio or hanging with her husband, two rambunctious kids and German Shepherd, she is hostingPaint Night at the Brewery. The purpose of these events is to make art that attendees actually want to hang in their homes all while building community and sipping on some delicious beverages. Abby imbues humor (mostly Dad jokes) and connectedness into each event she hosts.Abby comes from a diverse art background. She received my M.Ed in Visual Arts from Lesley University and a B.S. in Art Education with a concentration in painting from Rhode Island College. She also attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC for fashion design and the Studio Art Centers International in Florence, Italy at where I studied painting and Renaissance art history.Abby' studio, shared with a community of 14 other artists, is located inCHALKBOARD Studio3328 Main St. (Rte 6A), Barnstable Village, Cape Cod, Massachusetts, USA which can be visited by appointment.
