Jacki’s creative spirit has led her to a lifetime of experimenting with numerous artistic methods with a passion for light and colour while living in Queensland. She has been an art teacher and has run numerous art workshops as well as participating in many other artists classes in Australia and overseas.Over the last 15 years Jacki has immersed herself in and revived the ancient 5th century B.C. painting medium of Encaustic art. By working with this versatile medium and various contemporary methods Jacki has developed her own unique application and painting style.As a 2D visual artist Jacki resources from her own memoirs of people and places evoking feelings and memory. The light and colour reveals an innate part of us that invokes our own interpretation of life.
