Hi I'm Nyomi, a certified Forest Therapy Practitioner. I have several years of experience in group facilitation in the corporate world, and decided to use those skills for goodI do this because immersing myself in nature, especially spending time in the forest, saved my life. In 2022 I got sober and found that one of the only times where my cravings were at bay was when I was walking in the woods.I witnessed first hand how many other people in the recovery community, or people who have navigated struggles with their mental health, gravitated towards being in nature as part of their journey to wellness, and the profound effect that time spent in nature has on human health.The more I researched the connection between nature and wellbeing, the more I came to believe that everyone can improve their quality of life through regular, sustained exposure to the natural environment. Forests in particular seem to be a goldmine of health promoting elements.We're part of nature, and we owe it to ourselves (and the planet!) to be wild and free as often as we can! Forest Therapy isn't just about reconnecting with nature outside of ourselves, it's about reconnecting with our own true nature- something which is unique for everyone.In my sessions I create a space for you to be you, simply experiencing everything that the forest has to offer in the moment, free from all judgement and expectations. A space to put your health and wellbeing first. To disconnect from everyday stress and reconnect with the natural world.
