The IEEE UK & Ireland RAS Chapter is concerned with promoting the study and uptake of RAS technology within the region and encompasses aspects of training, research, development for a wide range of application domains, such as healthcare (surgery robots, rehabilitation robots, care or service robots), transport (autonomous cars, marine, trains and aircraft), manufacturing (smart plants and fully autonomous systems), smart cities (intelligent homes services and intelligent robots), nuclear (assembly and decommissioning), agriculture and food industry, defence and security, to push the boundaries of engineering and Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology.
