Since our beginning in 1922, Calgary Humane Society has been more than a shelter. We are proud to be Calgary’s first and most robust animal welfare organization.We are a hub for all animals in need—any animal, under any circumstances. Beyond adoptions, we support animal welfare in Calgary through education, outreach, emergency vet services for surrendered animals, behaviour training for those in need, and our unique ability to enforce the Animal Protection Act.We act as a gateway for more meaningful lives. By connecting people and animals, we help animals live healthy and happy lives with the right caretaker. And we help those caretakers reach the feelings of fulfilment and companionship that come with caring for an animal.
