Breath and Movement Artist, Teacher, Student, and Spiritual GuideThank you for visiting this page and for being a part of this community. As we take this path together we will be learning much about one another. Here is a little bit about me and why I am so passionate about sharing the practice of yoga.My relationship with yoga first began in 2005. After taking only one class, I noticed a significant reduction in the debilitating back pain and chronic stress from which I had been suffering. To continue with my self-care, I began a regular practice and fell in love with the calming affects, personal awareness and overall benefits yoga brought to my life. After about ten years of exploring this relationship, I dedicated my life fully to exploring the art of yoga and strive daily to gain a greater understanding of its effects on the human composition.Today, I am a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) and hold multiple certificates as an E-RYT® 200 and YACEP® . My training includes but is not limited to Life Power Yoga, Stand Up Paddle Board Yoga (SUP Yoga), Prison Yoga, Love Your Brain Yoga, Acro Yoga and Yin Yoga,I teach a trauma informed, prana based yoga, utilizing breath as a guide for all movement. The classes I share are challenging, yet accessible, uplifting yet grounding. It is my hope your experience in the classes you take will take you beyond the physical aspects of yoga where you can find a sacred space deep within yourself. My mission as a teacher is to grow and support healthy, mindful, peaceful communities by providing access to yoga, meditation, and healing arts.To do this, the classes you will find here are designed to:- improve respiration, energy and vitality- improve agility and focus- improve cardiovascular health- improve flexibility, strength and endurance- improve balance- build lean muscle- reduce and prevent injury- reduce and manage pain- speed muscle repairI believe access to this space will have found you at just the right time in your life and would love to hear about your experiences on the mat.
