Growing up within the embrace of the House of God, Evangelist Berthena Hamner has been a steadfast member of the Lockland congregation for all 56 years of her life. Her connection with the Divine took root early; at the tender age of eight, she recognized God and began a lifelong dialogue with Him. This profound relationship became the cornerstone of her existence, leading her to make a dedicated commitment to YHWH.Throughout her years of devoted service, Evangelist Hamner actively contributed to her church community. She served as the local Young People's Union (YPU) president and the local Usher Board president, and lent her expertise to the Trustee Board. Her musical talents also enriched the congregation as she directed and led songs for numerous choirs.Though called to ministry in her youth, she formally received her Minister's license as an adult and was recently ordained as an Evangelist within the House of God. Reflecting on her journey, Evangelist Hamner acknowledges that it has not been without its challenges. Yet, drawing strength from Proverbs 23:26, "For the Lord shall be thy confidence, and shall keep thy foot from being taken," she maintained unwavering faith in God's ability to guide and sustain her.
