My name is Hyacinth Nembhardt and I am the owner and Managing Director at Tropic. I'm originally from the Bronx and of Canadian and Jamaican decent, the roots of my heritage inspired me to bring a taste of Jamaica to Water Street. My vision for Tropic not only to have a sophisticated lounch where our customers can feel safe, good vibes, and proud to patronize.As a self made entrepenuer, I am passionate about supporting other local businesses and entrepenuers. My goal is partner with others to drive collaboration and success and to create a space where we can not only have a good time, but network and inspire!We have an amazing team who provides excellent customer service to our patrons. Known as the "Tropic Gals" you will find them on promotional ads throughout the establishment. Once you become a regular they'll definitely not only remember your name, but your drink! I'm proud to have my daughter, Hyleah, serving as the General Manager, so when you support Tropic you are supporting a not only a woman and minority-owned business, but a family-owned business as well.
