The Royal Court Tournament is a fundraising event that provides an opportunity for the community to increase its investment into Sacramento’s education programs while enjoying a fun-filled day of sports and entertainment. Our goal is to help students:1) Recover from illiteracy rates due to Covid-192) Network with other students3) Collaborate with the community to develop innovations and initiatives to progress the City of Sacramento4) Develop the moral aptitude to thrive in literacy, education, and life skillsThe goal of this tournament is to show attendees the importance of community and collaboration while integrating a sports component through our 3v3 streetball tournament that complements our efforts in literacy, education, and life skills. The tournament will provide a real time example of effective time management, collaborating with a team, communication strategies, strategy and innovation, negotiation skills, and how emotional intelligence provides value to challenging moments. Attendees will be enlightened on the benefits of leveraging effective life skills to produce real world success.We hope to inspire a new competitive and innovative spirit that will inspire the students of Sacramento to thrive in today’s highly competitive educational and business environments.
