The Black Cultural Zone Community Development Corporation (BCZ CDC) revitalizes East Oakland by centering Black arts, culture, and economics. Through community-driven development, including its unique ANCHOR/COMPASS engagement model, BCZ empowers residents, creates economic opportunities, preserves Black culture, and revitalizes the neighborhood. Using a collaborative hierarchy model, BCZ's six core teams work to build a more equitable and prosperous East Oakland for all.
