Hi, i`m karen the artist and creator behind KT Heart Art, a business i created in memory of my sister January 2018. I used art to help manage my grief and connect with others going through similar emotions. myself and my sister had matching heart tattoos so i add a red heart to every piece of art i create. I create pieces that trigger emotions from life events, and because of how art made me feel i wanted to help others do the same. In 2020 i started thinking about art for wellness ,i wanted to create a space where people could use art as a way of healing and navigating mental health, fast forward to 2024 and i finally decided to start my wellness workshops. January 2025 i held my first sip and paint wellness workshop and i loved it, i loved the way it made people feel and how much fun they had. Art is more than just a form of creative expression, its a powerful tool for improving mental health. Scientific research has shown that engaging in artistic activities, whether painting,drawing,sculpting,or even simply colouring ,can significantly reduce stress and anxiety. Additionally art provides an effective form of mindfulness, allowing us to focus on the present moment,detaching us from overwhelming thoughts. My mission is to get more people to do more art and to create a unique sip and paint event that leaves people inspired to take more time out for themselves and enjoy the creative process
