Hi, my name is Busola Abdulrahman (Chef B). I am the founder and the Head Chef at Busola’s kitchen, where we blend Nigerian and Chinese cuisines to create an exciting fusion of flavors, textures, and cooking techniques.My passion for food and desire to unite people around the table led me to pursue a career in cooking. I was always captivated as a child by the way flavors could elevate common items to incredible levels. Before I knew it, I was enrolling in culinary school to hone my talents after that curiosity became a love.I recently obtained a Journeyman certificate and a Red Seal certificate in progress, in addition to my Culinary Arts diploma from Nait College.Working in kitchens in different parts of the world has given me the opportunity to learn new skills, whether it's embracing the rustic simplicity of Italian cooking, discovering the bright, vibrant flavors of Asian food, or perfecting the techniques of classical French cuisine. My cooking philosophy has been influenced by my experiences; I always want to bring out the inherent flavors of the ingredients while striking a balance between technique and inventiveness.I've worked in more private settings as well as hectic restaurant kitchens over the years, always picking up tips from my peers and mentors. One of my greatest achievements was launching my own culinary company, which allowed me to finally share my culinary vision with the world by providing a menu that combines creativity and tradition.
