The Principal's WelcomeIt gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Malcolm Arnold Academy Eventbrite page.We are proud of our ambitious, broad and knowledge rich curriculum, calm and scholarly classrooms and high expectations for classroom routines.  We have impeccable student behaviour and promote a supportive and inclusive culture, where strong relationships are key.Our teachers are subject experts and make use of evidence-based research to ensure that they pass their knowledge on to students in the most effective ways, ensuring that it is learnt and remembered, supporting every child to fulfil their potential during their seven years with us. Our successful Sixth Form is growing, and we welcome applicants from other schools to join us.We are unapologetically ambitious and have the highest expectations and aspirations for our students throughout Years 7 to 13. We want all students to achieve highly, but alongside academic excellence, we aim to develop young people who leave the academy with a secure sense of identity and understanding of diversity and as well-rounded confident young people who are ready and able to embrace the challenges of adult life.Alongside our rigorous and challenging academic curriculum, we have a world class enrichment offer for every student with a broad range of sport, art and music opportunities. We believe that a wide and varied enrichment programme improves the life outcomes of students and has a positive impact on their wellbeing. We encourage students to engage fully in the opportunities offered to them and “live life to the fullest” and our programme provides opportunities for students to develop their character and leadership skills outside of the classroom.We are a Church of England academy which welcomes students of all faiths or none. We are lucky to have our own chaplain who supports all students as part of our commitment to pastoral care. We have developed a strong ethos and want all our students to be good and do good, be of value in the community and be committed to growth. Our environment is warm and strict, which allows students to flourish and thrive.Our website, and online presence, can only give a flavour of the school.
