The Snibston Heritage Trust is a registered not-for-profit charity (Registered No. 1190436) established in 2021. The objectives of the Trust is to preserve, interpret and share the heritage of the Leicestershire coalfield with local communities and visitors to Coalville and North West Leicestershire. The activities of the Trust are delivered by volunteers and no income is spent on salaries. The Trust has a volunteer group, which includes the Colliery Guides, who assist with the maintenance, interpretation and marketing of the historic Snibston Colliery. and meet every Monday (except Bank Holidays) at the colliery site. The colliery is part of Snibston Colliery Park, which is own and ran by Leicestershire County Council, and the Trust work in collaboration with the County Council.
