Are you new in town? Have you lived in Irving, TX or any nearby locations for some time? Do you enjoy social gatherings or hangouts where you can get a chance to meet and mingle with your fellow desis (i.e. South Asians, be it Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, Afghani, Sri Lankan, Nepali, Burmese, etc.)? Do you enjoy hanging out with people of such ethnic descent even if you are not South Asian? If all your answers to these question are "yes", then this group is for you.This social networking group will involve mainly in-person social mixer events (e.g., simple hangouts) in a variety of public places in Irving, TX and other nearby areas. Activities will consist of socializing, finding and making friends, exchanging ideas and information, dining, parties, potlucks, entertainment, festivities, games, and many more.Remember, as a founder and organizer of this network,this is not only my group, this is your group as well.This means that you are free to suggest, organize or host any type of gatherings or events you like through this channel, even if I won't be able to attend any of them. It is highly recommended that each event must be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance, as last-minute or impromptu plans may be impossible or difficult to materialize.Everyone is welcome to follow this group and join any of our events (all in-person), but please remember thatthis group is for serious and mature people!We would suggest thateach member must attend at least 1 of our events within a 4-month timeframe. Failure to do so may lead to a warning of removal from this group. Everyone who RSVPs or signs up for any of our events will receive a private message from the organizer a few days before the scheduled event in question to confirm your attendance for proper headcount. No-shows WILL NOT be tolerated and could result in a warning or removal from this group. If your plans change during the last minute, please notify us at your earliest convenience (by changing your RSVP, sending a message, etc.).Please keep in mind that this policy will apply to all our events, especially those that take place in venues requiring reservations and headcount.
