The UF/IFAS Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory (HBREL) aims to improve the health and productivity of honey bee colonies in Florida and globally. The HBREL conducts research on honey bee husbandry and behavior, and pollinator conservation to name a few. We also manage multi-faceted extension programs, which aim to increase the sustainability of beekeeping and native pollinators and the agricultural and ecological communites they support.
