Yoga has been a big part of my life for many years and has helped me through some challenging times. Like many people I started Yoga for the physical side effects like flexibility but it was the balance of mind body and spirit within the practice that kept me coming back.I was lucky enough to travel to India in 2016 to complete my yoga teacher training spending one month in Anand Prakash Yoga Ashram, completely immersed in the traditions and practice of yoga. This experience was life changing and together with my new Akhanda Yoga family we helped each other to grow both as teachers and individuals. It was also here that my Guru, Yogrishi Vishvketu blessed me with my spiritual name. Prem Jot. Which means Light Of Love. This beautiful name inspired me to share my love of Yoga with you through Prem Yoga & Wellbeing- Love Yoga & Wellbeing. Both myself and my teaching style has grown through the years with a strong emphasis on self. I love seeing my student reconnect to themselves and to hear their stories of how yoga has helped them in their everyday life.My other passions in life are animals and nature and I currently work for The Dogs Trust and The Marine Conservation Society alongside Prem Yoga & Wellbeing. I love to teach outdoors, for me there is no better feeling than connecting to the elements - keep an eye out for outdoor yoga in the spring/summer and for more nature focused workshops coming in 2023.
