St. John the Evangelist is a faith-based community with parishioners from Dunellen and the surrounding towns of Warren, Green Brook, Middlesex, Bound Brook, South Plainfield, Piscataway, Plainfield, North Plainfield. All are welcome.St. John's hosts a daily mass, Adoration on Thursdays + first Friday of the month. A Tuesday evening Spanish mass. A monthly Swahili mass 3rd Sunday of the month. We have a small but dynamic youth group. There is a food pantry in our parish center with some toys and clothing available to those in need- you do not have to be Catholic or a parishioner to receive assistance. We also minister to the home bound, visit the sick and partner with the local FISH food pantry for food donations + the FISH Christmas party. St. John's also shares our church basement for community events, emergencies and meetings on request from community leaders. Our fundraising helps with parish ministries and church maintenance.
