Since 2017, Woven Weekend founders Jonathan and Lori have spent part of each year in India—volunteering in local communities, building friendships, and soaking in a culture that quickly felt like home. Even during the pandemic, when travel wasn’t possible, they stayed connected from afar—proving that distance doesn’t dim connection.Over time, they fell in love with the layered beauty of Rajasthan: the bold prints, intricately painted buildings, sun-washed doorways in shades of marigold and mint. The textiles, the colors, the warmth of the people—it was a world full of life. But beneath that visual richness was a rhythm: slower, more grounded, and beautifully unhurried.Days started with chai, not chaos. Conversations stretched long. Beauty wasn’t flashy—it was woven into everyday things. That contrast—vibrant yet unhurried—became the heartbeat of Woven Weekend. In partnership with a family-owned business in Rajasthan—led by a skilled tailor and supported by a small, close-knit team—Jonathan and Lori have created a line of leisurewear rooted in that spirit. Just down the road from their home, the family operates a compact studio and workroom where no more than ten local makers craft each piece with precision. On a recent visit, Jonathan and Lori toured the space, met the makers, and heard firsthand how much pride they take in their craft. The environment is safe, respectful, and entirely fair trade—proof that beautiful things can be made with care, not compromise. Made slowly, worn easily, and designed to feel like your favorite version of you. Each piece blends lively, expressive prints with soft silhouettes and natural fabrics—perfect for slow brunches, golden hours, and unplanned moments.
