The Austin Séanceis a creative and experimental collaboration devoted to the history and practice of American séances and Spiritualism. Led by Artistic Director Albert Lucio and Editorial Director Jake Cordero,The Austin Séance has operated from a home base in Central Texas since 2016. Our work includes séance demonstrations in museums and other public institutions, occult workshops, occult lectures and academic seminars. The Austin Séance also operates an editorial division.The Austin Séance has been featured in Texas Monthly’s Drop Everything List, Austin Monthly, NPR’S Texas Standard radio program, KOOP radio and KUTX’s Eklektikos with John Aielli and other media outlets.
