DJ Steve Runningman...... Steve has had the pleasure of playing at clubs the length & breadth of the UK and all over the world. He started DJ back in 1996 while at The Olympics in Atlanta and whilst out there he had his first taste of DJing at the famous 112 club and has never looked back. Steve joined TwiceAsNice shortly after this which further boosted his career while he moved swiftly from a DJ to a Promoter and Club/Restaurant owner. He was one of the first promoter to bring R&B and Hip Hop nights to Kensington and Mayfair, hosting events at the International Sports man Club in Kensington, Launched “Funky Buddha” which was then called “Zen Garden”, then moving on to “The Mayfair Club” and “Planet Hollywood”. He bought his first Bar/Restaurant in Mayfair, London in 2002 called Shoeless Joes and rebranded to “MYCLUB”, which was then sold on to a high end restaurant called “AutoMat”.His next venture was the acquisition of The Hill Bar/Restaurant and Nightclub in the heart of Muswell Hill, North London where he was resident DJ/Owner for 8 years. The Hill was the hub for R&B and Hip Hop lovers hosting events for the likes of Ja Rule, Black Street, 112, Jon B, Jagged Edge, Damage, Amerie, and Jason Derulo, while in the later years entertaining guests such as Donaeo, Gigs, Skepta, JME, Jesse J, Tulisa, Julian Marley, Chip, Maverick Sabre, Kyla & Crazy Cousins, Heartless Crew and so on. Steve has played at a number of high profile events which include The 2000 Sydney Olympics (Audley Harrisons Gold Medal Party) & 2004 Athen’s Olympics (Team GB 4x100m Gold Medal After Party), The World Sports Awards which was attended by Morgan Freeman, Cuba Gooding Jr, The Beckhams, Michael Johnson, Daley Thompson, Edwin Moses, Marvin Haggler, and the King of Spain. Other gigs include Mariah Carey’s, Lennox Lewis’s and David Hayes Birthday Parties. After parties included Kanye West, The Game, Rick Ross, Busta Rhymes, Usher and Faith Evan’s as well as numerous corporate events.Through his DJing career he has built up a solid & loyal clientele over the years which attracted 1000’s of people to his events that would return time & time again in the knowledge that they will have a thoroughly great night out. Steve will take you on a musical journey, creating a smooth transition from R&B to Hip-hop, Reggae, Garage, Funky house 70/80’s Soul, Disco, House, Slow Jams, and Party classics. If it’s needed, he will play it from classic to current. Previous to he’s illustrious DJing career, Steve was a full-time athlete competing for Great Britain in the Decathlon, hence the name "DJ STEVE RUNNINGMAN".
