The Forever14 mission is to advance conversation and human connection to prevent teen suicide. We promote community engagement and peer-to-peer support, kindness, inclusion, and interpersonal connection. On October 22, 2019, 14 year old Caleb Stenvold made a tragic impulsive decision that ended his life. Forever14 is a non-profit organization founded by Caleb's family and friends in the wake of their tragic, unexpected loss. Our goal is for Washoe County, NV to be #SuicideFreeBy2023, the year Caleb would've graduate high school. In alignment with CDC proven strategies for suicide prevention, Forever14 Board Members, volunteers, and the #f14 Teen Ambassador Peer Support Network plan community service projects and host "Connect Events" for teens, families, and communities that promote community engagement, foster peer-to-peer support, and teach problem-solving and coping skills in fun, engaging environments. On the 14th of every month we urge everyone to "tech out & check in" - put down your phone and truly connect with those around you.
