The Singing Collective was established in February 2024. It is a Vocal Academy in Mount Duneed, Geelong focusing on emotion-centred singing. The Founder and Vocal Coach, Laura Rowan is committed to helping her students grow in their abilities, while creating an inclusive and collaborative environment that fosters personal growth, confidence, and joy.At The Singing Collective, she offers singing lessons for individuals of all ages and abilities, from beginners to experienced singers. Her classes provide a nurturing and supportive environment for students to explore and refine their singing technique. In addition to honing vocal skills, individuality is at the forefront of my classes.Lessons are based out of her local home & Poa Banyul Community Centre in Mount Duneed.Who is Laura Rowan?Laura was raised in Jerilderie, located in the countryside of New South Wales. Her love for music was fuelled by piano lessons from 5 years old to forming a rock band in high school, performing at local events. After high school, she moved to Melbourne and completed a Degree in Popular Music and Performance (Vocals) at JMC Music Academy.Later on, she obtained an Advanced Diploma in Songwriting and Gospel Music through a church in Sydney. While studying, she devoted two years volunteering at nursing homes, leading weekly music sessions for the residents. Witnessing the profound impact music had on their well-being was a pivotal moment that inspired her to want to help more people find real joy through music. At The Singing Collective, Laura strives to provide her students with invaluable vocal skills to achieve their personal goals, create beautiful music together AND find a sense of community. Through the power of group singing, she hopes you leave each class feeling excited, challenged, safe and have a strong sense of belonging within the group.
