Sending event goers on a mini vacation or giving them a relieve from daily burdens if even for a moment is Sandra Hohmann's mission ever since 1996 when she came to the United States from Germany as an army wife. As the promoter and organizer of Mitten Durch Festival, she hopes for the festival to normalize taboo subjects, lift the shame, and provide festival goers with information on where to turn in time of need.As an active military dependent Sandra Hohmann has volunteered her time and sharpened her organizational skills for more than 20 years to provide community, help, companionship via events in several states all over the country for several organizations including Protestant Women of the Chapel ( PWOC), Army Community Relief (ACS), Family Support Groups, People for Christ, loveloud, Reverb, Creation Festival, Food for the Hungry, World Vision, South Ogden City, The Country Fan Festival, Salt Lake City Comic Con, Balloon Festival, Wasatch Music Festival, Ogden Music Festival, etc.She resides 20 miles north of Salt Lake City with her family and pets. Aside from promoting and volunteering at festivals, she works for the Utah Schools of the Deaf and Blind as a communication intervener. During her free time, she enjoys playing pickleball and her first grandson.
