Founded in 2000, SMA carries forward the rich legacy of Stax Records by equipping young talents with the power of music.In the soulful heart of Memphis, where blues, gospel, rock-and-roll, and R&B have left an indelible mark, we aim to instill the timeless spirit of soul in our city's young artists. Located next to the iconic Stax Museum of American Soul Music, SMA serves as an after-school and summer music institute, providing holistic education and mentorship.
