For the last 100 years, City of Newport Symphony Orchestra (CNSO) has proudly served Newport and the surrounding areas with public and private concerts and events.This friendly amateur orchestra is made of players from many wide and varied walks of life and diverse musical experiences, who come together for their passion of making music.The ambitions and aspirations for the orchestra to add to the cultural diversity of the city, continue apace with small ensemble performances in Bellevue Park over the summer months as well as classical and seasonal concerts at Newport Cathedral bringing the orchestra to a growing and wider public attention.The City of Newport Symphony Orchestra is a registered charity which is run by a committee of orchestra members.
