Tuvugane is a youth-led, community-rooted initiative committed to cultivating a culture of open dialogue, healing, and collective empowerment among young Burundians. Founded with a vision to create safe and courageous spaces, Tuvugane (meaning “Let’s Talk” in Kirundi) brings together youth voices to break cycles of silence, bridge generational divides, and spark social transformation.Our mission is to amplify youth perspectives through storytelling, creative expression, civic engagement, and restorative dialogue. We believe that when young people are seen, heard, and supported, they become powerful agents of change in their communities and beyond.Through workshops, digital media platforms, community events, and mentorship programs, Tuvugane equips youth with the tools to lead, heal, and speak life into one another. We center dignity, identity, and justice in every conversation and collaboration.Together, we are reclaiming our narratives. Together, we say: Tuvugane.
