Micak Contemporary Art Gallery launched in November 2024 in Aurora, Ontario. The gallery showcases emerging and mid-career artists working in a range of media. Micak Contemporary prides itself on thoughtfully presenting high caliber art work by professional artists to clients and visitors.Artworks are for sale, and we offer personalized art advisory services which includes: private tours of exhibitions, tailored consultations for individuals and businesses, and acquisition facilitation through a global network of art experts.The gallery is located in the St. Andrew's Shopping Centreoff of Yonge Street: 2 Orchard Heights Blvd. Unit #40. Aurora, ON.Hours:Wed- Saturday, 12- 6pm or by appointment private showings are available.About Katie Micak, Director:Katie Micak brings 20 years of experience in the visual arts, working as an artist, curator, gallery director, researcher and university instructor. Micak has held roles at The Phillips Collection (Washington, DC), Living Arts Centre (Mississauga), Spark Contemporary (Syracuse, NY), Propeller Gallery (Toronto), and is a founder/ curator of new media festival, Vector Festival. Micak has contributed to projects at the Royal Ontario Museum, MacKenzie Art Gallery, Toronto Kids Digital Festival, TAIS, New York City's Art in General and the Moving Images Fair, plus more.
